Sponsor from the start of the foundation. I have visited Nepal and was very impressed by the good work that René and his team performed there. In September 2009 I joined the board. Leading the monthly meetings and fundraising are among my areas of responsibility. After the substantial growth of various projects in Nepal the board was ready for a further professionalization of it’s work. This is now an important focus for me.

Annette Groot, Secretary

In 2004, “infected with the Nepal virus”. Mainly through the articles that René writes regularly in the local newspaper and by the stories and information I received through the projects at the school of my children. When I was asked if I wanted to join the board, I didn’t need a long time to think and take my decision.

The first year I did helping hand services where needed and in June 2006 I took over the secretariat. After a visit to Nepal in 2007 I saw with my own eyes how much work is done and how happy people become by just that little bit more. What is better to personally visit your part to be able to contribute to this!

Fred Valkering, Treasurer

I became enthusiastic by René's stories in 1999 on the situation in Nepal and his plans to do something about it. I decided to accept the request of René to become the treasurer of Veldwerk. From this memorable day I make sure the money is spent as much as possible on the projects in Nepal. Further I report annually of the financial progress. Besides my work for the Foundation, I run an administration company together with my wife Irena. Besides we founded the general partnership Schoner Leven, complete with a website, webshop and a small shop at home at address: 19 Vennewatersweg in Egmond-Binnen. Here we sell organic and sustainable products. The profit of Schoner Leven is earmarked for Stichting Veldwerk.
