SVN is planning to launch programs that will reduct CO2. In exchance for investing in these projects you will receive certificates that are approved by the Nepalese authoroties and guarantee that your inverstment has been used for reforestation. The certificates will carrying the value of €25,-, of which 60% will be invested in seedlings, 20% in fruit trees and coffee plants that create income generation for the local community and 20% for education and healthcare of that same community. The reason for deforestation is in many cases poverty which drives local people to cut trees for wood and fuel. By combining reforestation with income generation, education and healthcare, we hope to create a sustainable change in this behaviour.
